Product Safety, Warnings & Terms

Read these warnings before you set up or use your water generator. They apply to WaterVO Floor and Countertop units and, where noted, to the Spout Monolith and other products we sell. Keep this page handy: the QR code on your unit's power-cord tag links here.

1. Electrical safety

  • Plug the unit directly into a grounded (3-prong) 110–120 V outlet.
  • Do not use an extension cord, power strip, or plug adapter.
  • Do not operate the unit if the cord or plug is damaged. Contact us for a replacement.
  • Unplug the unit before cleaning it or changing filters.
  • Keep the unit away from water spray and heat sources such as stoves, heaters, and direct sunlight.

2. Installation

  • Keep the unit upright at all times, including during moving and shipping.
  • After moving or shipping, wait 24 hours before plugging it in, so the refrigerant can settle.
  • Leave clearance around the air inlets and outlets for ventilation. Do not block the vents.
  • Place the unit on a firm, level surface.
  • Indoor use only.

3. Hot water

  • Scald hazard. Water from the hot tap is near boiling and can cause burns.
  • Supervise children around the unit.
  • Use the child lock on the hot tap if your unit has one.

4. Refrigerant

  • WaterVO Floor and Countertop units contain R134a refrigerant in a sealed system.
  • Do not open, puncture, or modify the sealed system. Service by qualified technicians only.
  • At the end of its life, dispose of the unit according to your local rules for appliances that contain refrigerant.

5. Water and filters

  • Replace the filters and the UV lamp on the schedule in your manual or on the product page.
  • WaterVO makes no health claims about the water its units produce.
  • Our units are not certified to NSF standards unless a certification is stated on the product page.

6. California Proposition 65

WARNING: Some products can expose you to chemicals, including nickel, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

7. Warranty summary

  • WaterVO Floor and Countertop units: 1 year on the whole machine, and 3 years on the compressor, fan, and condenser.
  • Filters and other consumables are not covered.
  • Other brands we sell, including the Spout Monolith, are covered by their manufacturer's warranty.

8. Use subject to terms

By using the product, you agree to follow these warnings and WaterVO's Terms of Service. Misuse, unauthorized modification, or ignoring these warnings may void the warranty.
