Nanoplastics are our nemesis.

Plastic keeps turning up in places it was never meant to be, including the water we drink. In a 2024 study, Columbia University researchers found an average of roughly 240,000 detectable plastic fragments per liter in the bottled waters they tested. About 90% of them were nanoplastics: particles smaller than one micrometer, far too small to see.¹

Water treatment has come a long way, and many systems do good work on a wide range of contaminants. At WaterVO, we start with a different question: where does your water come from in the first place? Our approach starts with water vapor from the air instead of groundwater, pipes, or plastic bottles, and then optimizes it into water you can pour at home.
